Electro-Fenton Treatment System

One of the key challenges in wastewater recovery facilities is managing the concentrated wastewater discharged from reverse osmosis (RO) systems. This form of wastewater, which has higher Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and color content compared to the RO feed water, must be treated to prevent environmental harm and comply with the Water Pollution Control Regulation and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) discharge parameters. Conventional chemical treatment processes are often insufficient for treating such highly polluted wastewater. This is where Electro-Fenton technology comes into play. The Electro-Fenton process is an effective and environmentally friendly advanced treatment technology specifically designed for treating pharmaceuticals in wastewater with low suspended solids (SS) content.

 

What Is ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals)?

Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals is an initiative aimed at reducing the harmful environmental impacts of chemicals used in the textile, leather, and footwear industries. Launched in 2011 by a group of major fashion brands and retailers, the ZDHC program develops standards and guidelines to ensure sustainable chemical management and prevent the use of hazardous chemicals in the industry.

The primary goal of this program is to control the use of hazardous chemicals in production processes and ensure that they are discharged as zero waste into the environment. To achieve this, the ZDHC program has developed various guidelines, standards, and tools covering water quality, chemical management, wastewater management, and air emissions.
